Matar paneer recipe

MAIN INGREDIENTS

  • 250gm paneer
  • 1 cup pea(fresh matar)
  • 2-3 medium-sized onions
  • 3 medium sized tomato
  • garlic
  • ginger
  • 2-3 green chilli
dry spices
  • 2-3 cloves
  • 3-4 elachi
  • 3-4 blackpepper
  • cumin(jeera)

  • 3 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 2 tsp deggi mirch
  • 1 tsp garam masala

steps to make matar paneer

1] firstly you need to roughly chopped onions, tomatoes, green chilli, garlic and ginger.

2] take a pan or kadai put oil into it, add roughly chopped onion, ginger, garlic and chilli and roast it ( remember roast till the onion colour translucent and onion become soften not brown)

3] then put roughly chopped tomatoes into the pan and sprinkle 1 tsp salt on it(so that tomato will soften) and stir till oil kept aside( at-least 2-3 minutes on a medium flame)

4] If you want sauce consistency of the paste then add half cup water into it and simmer for a minute.

5] turn off the gas keep aside it for atleast 5-10 minutes so that it release the heat , after 10 minutes put all the paste in mixture jar for grind( you may add some water in it for a good consistency)

6] now slice the panner into small peices and wash the pea with normal water

7] take a kadai put some oil in it, add all dry spices (mentioned above) in oil and roast it well. At the same stage add 1 tsp deggi mirch powder, 1-tsp turmeric(haldi) powder.

8] Now put all the paste (which you grind) into the kadai , stir well and simmer for atleast 10 minutes on a medium- low flame

9] add pea into it at the same time you can sprinkle salt( As required), cover it after adding ha1f cup water so that matar cook well .

10] after 5-7 minute put 1-tsp dhaniya powder, 1-tsp garam masala powder, 1tsp roasted cumin powder and cook for another 1 minute.

11] atlast add panner mix well with gravy add some water and cover it to cook for another 10 minute.

12] turn off the gas and garnish your matar paneer with green coriander and enjoy it with rice, roti or naan.
